We have the organ and the piano and those are both nice. What I don’t really care for is the guitar. 😦

We have a cheap electonic one and it’s been used about 5% of the time compared to 95% geeetars (!) and piano.

My home parish has a wonderful Casavant and until recently had one of the premier organists in the city as music director.

The Cathedral where I attend daily Mass is in the middle of a 3-year restoration of its 50-year-old Moller by the Schantz Organ Company. They’re doing the voicing now on the gallery organ - it’s fun to listen to the guy play in between doing the actual tuning work, which is considerably less fun. It leads me to meditate on uniformity with God’s will as they match the notes up with each other.

All the Parishes I have belonged to have had an organ. My current one splits time between the Organ and Piano. If there are other musical instruments, they tend towards the classical ones like Flute and Violin.

Do you remember how the oscillation between the organ and piano came about ?

By the way our organ is still playing after 79 years.
