I think Hispanic immigration is credited with keeping the Catholic Church, in the US, from shrinking. However, as Exoflare alludes, its been known for some time that the children of those immigrants tend to drift away from the Catholic Church at about the same rate as non-Hispanic Americans do.

So the influx of new members is good, but it doesn’t fix the long term problem of attrition.
 
You mean people in the USA who have freedoms choose to not be Catholic? How is that possible? :confused:
