I did not include Pope John Paul I.
I LOVE MY ‘GERMAN SHEPHERD’! :extrahappy:![]()
Thanks, YankeeRC!love that
I voted for Pius X but Benedict XVI is the first pope I put up a picture of and he’s holding a big ‘ein mass Bier’
Pope Benedict declared him venerable last year, on the recommendation of the Congregation for Saints’ Causes. Progress on the canonization of Pope Pius XII has been slow. He had a good reputation until 1963, when Rolf Hochhuth’s play The Deputy recast him as a villain. That play, along with cold war anti-Catholic disinformation from the Soviet Union, was enough to make many people believe that the late Pope was pro-Nazi rather than anti-Nazi. Even people who know better than that may still worry that others will be offended or scandalized, if Pius XII is canonized.i actually know more about Pope Pius XII and started to choose him. He saved many Jews from the Nazis - hundreds of thousands.
i really like him. i wonder why he hasn’t been (far as i know) chosen for possibly canonization?
thanks… now i know waht to read about him.No one can hold a candle to Pope St. Pius X. The man was a prophet. Read Editae Saepe that was published on May 26, 1910.
who cares? if he is a saint, he is a saint.Pope Benedict declared him venerable last year, on the recommendation of the Congregation for Saints’ Causes.
