I had a priest once, a very great priest whom i love very much as my spiritual father (he actually helped me become Catholic again after converting to islam eek: ), and one of his Masses was devoted to all the different parts of the Mass and how its an active conversation with God. it was phenomenal.
i think that the Church needs to jump on the ball and make sure that the Mass is something thats welcoming and not overwhelming, they need to explain why we do what we do or why we say what we say at Mass and why we do it when we do it at the different parts. the significance of standing and kneeling, the whole nine yards. i think it will be a very rich experience and make the Mass come alive!
maybe we should start a petition letter going to our parishes and send another letter to the dioceses in our states stating our concern? definitely think its a group effort! anybody interested and want to join together for the cause?? id love to be a part!
