On Saturday (6/25), CAF was “down” for awhile, so I turned to EWTN. A “Mass of Welcome” was being broadcast from the Diocese of Phoenix. Evidently, the Poor Clare Sisters were being welcomed.

Perhaps, some of you were in attendance, or also viewed this. I’m a bit sketchy on the details because of viewing only part of the mass… 🙂

I too watched it on EWTN.

The Latin music was beautiful. Compared to the contemporary church music, which also was included in the mass, the Latin beat it hands down… despite the fact the music in English was quite good.

The bishop of the diocese of Phoenix gave a great sermon on the calling and value of contemplative orders and their place in the Church and in Church history.

The nuns seemed to be very happy with their warm welcome.

The service was re-broadcast on Sunday.

Thanks for the website link. Sounds like an exciting time for them and those with whom they have contact.🙂
