The Vatican – Pope Benedict XVI told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a Wednesday meeting that Catholics have an obligation to oppose abortion. Pelosi is a longtime abortion advocate who has gone as far as supporting taxpayer funded abortions and opposing a partial-birth abortion ban.

Catholic. … but… . but nothing, you aren’t a Catholic if you don’t believe what the church teaches.

That’s like saying I’m a baseball player, but I don’t agree with being out when the other team catches a foul ball. When I play baseball at my home field in San Francisco I’m not out when they catch the foul ball, so that’s how everyone should play the game.
 
So the next question is… what is the SF Bishop telling the parish priests about her receiving communion. It’s really a self-excommunication so the priest could state he was unaware, however, I’m sure there’s the fear of loosing money and people over it. It shouldn’t be a tough decision. Either execute according to church rules or close the doors. No more sweeping things under the rug.
