Dear Friends,

I’d like to share this wonderful short documentary on Benedict Mar Papa. I have always had the greatest respect for this Pope in his humble and kind nature. I’ve also always felt bad for Benedict Mar Papa that he was stuck between two very emphatic Popes and that he himself was criticized by the masses for his more quiet nature. I think its very sad that people don’t understand that just like common individuals, Popes are all of distinct natures and come bearing different personalities. No matter, Benedict Mar Papa will always remain one of my favorite Popes and I will always have the utmost respect for him. May God bless Benedict Mar Papa for all days to come.

I agree fully that PB XVI is not currently fully understood.
His writings move me more than any other writer, I could read him constantly.

I have heard it said that in 100 or more years the Church will count his writings amongst those of Augustine and Aquinas.

His books on Jesus of Nazareth are some of the deepest and from the heart writings we will encounter.

I am short on time, but will watch the video later.

I agree completely. One of the most brilliant theologians of the 20th century. I have learned so much from him, esp his humility.

I love him; he was pope during my high school years when I first starting asking questions and getting serious about my religion. I’ve read his Jesus of Nazareth series and Introduction to Christianity and consider him my intellectual hero. With that, I am very sad by how misunderstood he is. I can get why some people might not understand him since his writing is quite dense, but, that doesn’t justify some of the vitriol against him from people who don’t know who they are talking about. Many thanks for the link; I’ll be sure to check it out.
