What are Pope Francis’s views about the increased availability the Latin Mass? Do you think he will continue Pope Emeritus Benedict’s work?
Its only going on 2 days of his pontificate and I can already tell that the “reform of the reform” has ended sadly.

I miss Benedict :bighanky:

Yes, and unfortunately, it appears that is not the complete story.

Be warned, I recommend only reading the article, and not the comments that follow. That site has its value from time to time, but I am frequently turned off by the vitriol of its followers, which I in no way condone or agree with.

I miss pope Benedict as well, a great deal. I honestly believe that I am still not over my shock at his leaving and that I would likely be concerned about anyone other than him who is not named Cardinal Burke.

However, what we need to do is pray for Pope Francis. Pray for him to be guided by all of the great saints and martyrs of the Church that he will be attentive to Sacred Tradition and embrace all of the glory and beauty of the Church in his work towards confirming the Faithful. I will be offering Compline tonight for that intention.

I freely admit some unease, but I even I do not believe it is time to pronounce anything as ended. I am hopeful that he will share his views on the liturgy sooner rather than later so that all of us can have an idea as to where he might go on this matter.

Peace,
