I would have expected nothing less from Pope Francis, God bless him.

Yet, people are still reacting with fear and anger seeing this situation as only a criminal or political issue: We are told of violent gang members streaming across our borders threatening our national existence; or illegal, lazy, do-nothings eager to get on the welfare dime. Or, the reaction is one of constant bickering and posturing: this politician is at fault, and that one is ignoring the situation or worse, fostering the crisis for nefarious purposes.

How is it that Pope Francis can see beyond the all the blame, fear and anger?

I have tried to not post on this issues bc it is such a sensitive topic for me. I see why people get “scared” about illegals, and I know they’ll say, well they want to come and get on welfare, their going to go out and cause problems. But in all reality, most in not 90% of illegals do not get any help from the government bc they do not have a Social Security number to get the help. These people get most of their help from local churches.

Second, if people get so worried about gangs coming here and causing problems, we have that here all across the country, and it is being caused by US citizens, shouldn’t we clean those people up first?

I love the Pope, I hope people can see that these people are not traveling thousand of miles in the heat, without water or anywhere to be just bc it is fun. They are doing it out of necessity.
