I am afraid Pope Francis is an anti Pope.
What are your thoughts?
I seek traditional Catholicism and to follow the Holy Catholic Church.

I was asking for other peoples thoughts… I have a clean heart in asking this question and have seen so much written lately… i am confused

I have read so much lately over the Pachamama and other things… I’m simply seeking opinions from my peers
I mean no malice

We’ve had Popes who have done very wrong things before in the past. They were still Pope.

That would be for the best. And perhaps also to take a break from the internet and the news about Pachamama. Don’t forget to also pray for Pope Francis: he needs prayers.

@Fauken haha yes… perhaps:)

Thank you for your (name removed by moderator)ut!

My take on our Holy Father…

He is left of center politically and it influences his faith. Some of his positions on doctrine are nuanced to the point of at least seeming heterodox. He values dialogue that challenges catholic doctrine and doesn’t want to clarify his own opinion or what he understands the teaching of the church to be to maybe increase the dialogue? He seems very unprepared for this office being either naive about what his off the cuff remarks do to his flock or he values the questioning much more than clear truth. I pray he will realize what is happening and take steps to end the confusion and strengthen the brethren as is the duty of his office.

He needs our prayers.

Good wishes to you.

An anti-pope is an usurper of the See of Peter (i.e., Sancta Sedis). That means someone who has been installed invalidly in opposition to the operation the Church has established, or someone who has been elected by a conclave while a current Pope is sitting/enthroned; in essence usurpation is assuming an authority that is not yours. In contrast, Pope Francis was elected after Pope Benedict XVI abdicated the Holy See, and acknowledged universally (by all the living bishops in union with Rome) as Pope. Nothing can take this away from him except death or abdication.

He needs our prayers.
Prayers, which he humbly asked of us on the day of his election.

And more so, we need faith, in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who guides our Church and protects.

There is no doubt that Pope Francis isn’t the best Pope. That doesn’t mean he’s an anti
-pope. He was validly ordained and installed as Pope, no matter his flaws.

Regarding persons outside the Catholic Faith, his “dialogue” seems to encourage them to communicate their positions, but not communicating the Catholic teaching to persons outside.

Regarding officials in the Vatican, he fired most who hold any difference with his views. So no internal dialogue., no diversity of views. Thus, all his peeps have the same insights, and same blind spots, he has.

We don’t know that. We can’t know God’s will and it is folly to prejudge. Remember God is in charge.

Pray. Hope. Don’t worry.
