I know that there are many that are suspicious of Cardinal Farrell because of his connection with McCarrick. Ultimately, this role isn’t that influential. They just need someone to keep the administrative tasks moving along when we are in between popes.

Cardinal Farrell was a very good bishop for our diocese IMO. I know he has elicited some controversy since he has gone to Rome, but based on what I know from around here, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. At the very least, he is a very good administrator. So he should do fine in this role.
