Not that there is any reliable indication that this allegation is true. But hey, let’s not waste an opportunity to try to encourage distrust of the Holy Father.
 
i was only using those two as examples of left wing media very biased.
 
Excuse me? That wasn’t my intention, nor did I mean to do so. I was simply pointing out that this is a fear, though I should have emphasized that it is unfounded.
 
Then I apologize. It did read as though you were agreeing that it’s a valid fear.
 
Many Eastern riters view themselves as better than the Romans. You can’t really blame them because the Romans basically run the Church (The head is in Rome). The Church basically became Roman rite except for the relatively (and I say relatively) small portion in the East. They used to be on par with the West and now folks don’t even know about them.

I’d personally stop short of calling those two news outlets… their biases keep them from delivering anything objective… just another media rag

How about letting people just enjoy going to Mass or Divine Liturgy? I do not see a reason for doing away with any form of worship.
 
The Holy Father has expressed his opinion that many seek the old form for the wrong reason. That doesn’t mean he will forbid it… but he has not hid his views.

Yes, thst’s exactly what he’s spoken about. But that’s completely different than having “disdain” for the TLM itself, as alleged in the article that opened this thread. I’ve never seen any indication of that from the Pope.
 
He sure doesn’t seem fond of the Latin Mass that’s for sure. I remember the controversy he caused a few years back bemoaning the fact that many young people prefer the Old Mass. While I’m not convinced by the article in the original post, I am convinced that there are those in high places that despise it, and wish it would disappear from the face of the earth.

No indeed— they’re not funny; they’re scary. It’s just funny to see them in a sentence with the word, “reliable.” Much like the source for the OP’s story, LifeSite News.
