"V. Let us pray for our Sovereign Pontiff, Pope Francis:

R. The Lord preserve him and give him life,
and make him blessed upon the earth,

We take refuge under thy protection,
O holy Mother of God;
despise not our petitions for Pope Francis
in his necessities,
but ever deliver him from all dangers,

Almighty and everlasting God,
have mercy upon Thy servant Francis
our Supreme Pontiff,
and direct him,
according to Thy loving-kindness,
in the way of eternal salvation;
that, of Thy gift,
he may ever desire that which is pleasing unto Thee
and may accomplish it with all his might.

h Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to Your shepherd, Pope Francis, a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love.

And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
