Who exactly is Giuseppe Cardinal Siri? I was reading this site which seemed orthodox and then the man started talking about the True Church, the REAL Pope, and the impending judgement. Who exactly is this Antipope?:confused: He had pictures showing (supposedly) the white smoke after Siri’s election, the crowd cheering, and then the smoke turning black again.

Info soon, please!

Well he wasnt an antipope. There is valid and undeniable evidence that He was actually elected before John in 1960. That explains the white smoke, and then the black smoke so suddenly. The corrupt freemason cardinals threatened to kill him if he told anyone he was pope. The story of Our lady of Fatima explains this and you should read more of the website. God bless.

So, what then? Are John Paul I, John Paul II and Benedict XVI the real antipopes in that case?

I didnt want to believe it at first, I loved John Paul II, but the evidence is just undeniable. Jacinta, the sheperdess of Fatima, prophecised that there would be a Pope who would wear red ( meaning that Siri would be forced to appear as a cardinal) and that he would be held prisoner in a big house that was not the Vatican ( and this happend to Siri. Our Lady of Fatima also worned about this.

Would you please present documents for these statements? Thanks

A list of the Popes

The rumor of JP II being an antipope and the so-called story of the Fatima seers prophesizing about a coming antipope or a pope who would be held captive by cardinals are false witness, meant to stir up distrust against Holy Mother Church, and those who make them up and who spread them will answer on Judgment Day for them.

Personally, I am always skeptical about anything Traditionalist Catholics say on matters pertaining to faith or morals, because, generally speaking, Traditionalists don’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve seen it countless times, and it is quite sad.

No no no. Actually…

Jimmy Durante somehow slipped by the Swiss Guard and knocked on the door to the Conclave just as the results were anounced. He begged them to give him a few moments. Seems he wanted to make sure Roncali was the one, since his grandmother had always spoken well of him. Roncali had blessed her own grandmothers’ Rosary when she was in Rome on vacation. She had been praying for the elction of Roncali, and Jimmy overheard her pray “if he be the one, I shall never sin again !”

Jimmy loved his grandmother very much, and this was the driving force which led him to this crazy act. Surprisingly, Jimmy’s story touched the hearts of all in the Conclave, especially Siri. “Tell us more” he asked, and for hours Jimmy told stories of his grandmothers pious deeds throughout her life. Finally, around 2 am, Siri stood up and exclaimed “We must secure the soul of this pious woman we have learned of ! For by securing the soul of this woman with such certainty, we will secure our place along side her in Heaven as well !” All in the Conclave agreed, and it was decided since many there were exhausted from such a long day, and considering the hour, the election of Roncali would be conducted later that day after all had got some sleep.

Jimmy was advised of course, that he as they, were bound by silence on the doings of a Conclave, and that he not even tell his grandmother of this great working of the Holy Spirit.
Surely, Jimmy and all Holy Men there must accept this moment in the history of the Church as guided by the Holy Spirit. Siris last words to the Conclave and Jimmy were “God works in mystreious ways”. All nodded a silent yes, and then Jimmy asked Roncali what name he would choose.

And on the glorious day, the world met John XXIII. Now you know. 😉

Please be more discriminating with the type of website you are visiting and don’t take anything there at face value. Unsubstantiated claims like yours can be quite dangerous to the uninformed.

This is one of the fantasies of sede vacantists and certain rad-trads.

Siri might have been elected, but he certainly did not accept the papacy if he had been.

From what I’ve gleaned about him and his character, had he been elected, Giuseppe Siri would most likely have submitted and accepted the election.

Personally, I doubt he topped the conclave votes in 1958. The mood of the day was for an older man, and a short reign. Siri was only 52 at the time. His strength as papabile increased with the Conclave of 1963, and yet again in 1978. I’ve heard tell that he received a plurality of the first vote in 1978 but not a clear majority.

Of course any discussion is pure conjecture: the details of what went on behind the doors of the Sistine Chapel will never be definitively known.

The fact that the whole Church accepted Bl. John XXIII as Pope shows that he truly was. The Holy Spirit would prevent the entire Church from erring in this matter and following someone other than its true shepherd. The whole “Siri thesis” wasn’t invented until the people advancing it rejected the Second Vatican Council. The fact is Cardinal Siri participated in the Council and celebrated the new Missal as well as participating in three subsequent conclaves. While being critical of the abuses that followed the Council, he also plead with Archbishop Lefebrve to be reconciled. He never claimed to be Pope and no one accept a few dissident webmasters it seems ever thought he was.

Thank you! The voice of reason. 👍

IMO everybody who reads this thread needs to take to heart a maxim that will hold you in very good stead, whether in discussions about Church matters or politics or news events or whatever. It’s this:

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.

The claim being made is more than extraordinary. The “proof” that’s being offered is nothing short of ridiculous.

The sources cited at the end of this article refuting the theory are good:
