Unfortunately, when you get to the radical fringes (both progressive and traditional), they think they are more Catholic than the Pope. Some will never let this issue go. Time to lay down the law on these dissenters. The holy father has ended the debate on women being ordained. The holy catholic church does not have the power to ordain women. JPII has spoken quite clearly about this.
Sarah Jane said:“Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful.” (Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, 4)
From my understanding, when the pope days “I define” or “I Declare,” it is VERY likly that he is exersizing the charism of infallability. Especially if he backs it up by demaning that all the faithful adhere to the teaching…I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful.
You bet your sweet bippy it does."Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren, I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful."
Right on my brother!!!beckers,
(a more readable response–sorry),
We live in a culture which allows people who are born males to become surgically altered into so-called “females,” and which allows people who are born females to become surgically altered into so-called “males.”
In such an environment, is it really any wonder that many people would regularly refuse to accept the word “no”?
