The holy father has ended the debate on women being ordained. The holy catholic church does not have the power to ordain women. JPII has spoken quite clearly about this.

Unfortunately, when you get to the radical fringes (both progressive and traditional), they think they are more Catholic than the Pope. Some will never let this issue go. Time to lay down the law on these dissenters.

The Pope, indeed, has no choice, because Ms. Bonavoglia is incorrect in her assertion that “no previous Pope” declared that the ban on women’s ordination was an infallible teaching.

To avoid cut and paste, see my post here:

Memo to radical feminists and women’s ordination supporters: it’s a done deal, okay? You can go on beating that hoss if you wants to, but that there hoss is daid, and he ain’t gonna pull no mo’.

“Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful.” (Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, 4)

I was just going to quote that! Womens ordination = not possible…it is infallible teaching! Ah, I love our church!
God Bless,

I am not surprised that this ran in the Houston Chronicle. It has a pretty liberal opinion section. The chronicle owns a monopoly on the news in Houston because it is the only newspaper since the Houston Post went out of business. This is the exact reason why i cancelled my newspaper and read stuff online.

Why can’t women be happy being women and stop trying to be men?? God made us two seperate sexes with different roles for a reason. One should embrace being a women and not be upset about what we can’t do and instead be happy about what we can do that men can’t!!!

beckers,

We live in a culture whuch allows born males are becoming surgically crafted “females,” and where born females are becoming surgically crafted “males.” Is it really any wonder that such a culture would bring people who defiantly refuse to accept the word “no”?

beckers,

(a more readable response–sorry),

We live in a culture which allows people who are born males to become surgically altered into so-called “females,” and which allows people who are born females to become surgically altered into so-called “males.”

In such an environment, is it really any wonder that many people would regularly refuse to accept the word “no”?

John Paul the Great:
I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful.
From my understanding, when the pope days “I define” or “I Declare,” it is VERY likly that he is exersizing the charism of infallability. Especially if he backs it up by demaning that all the faithful adhere to the teaching…

In order for a Papal statement to be infallible, it must be:

—Delivered by the Pope in his capacity of head of the universal Catholic Church;

—Pertain to a matter of faith or morals;

—Apply to all the Christian faithful;

—Define, or explain in a final fashion, an existing teaching or doctrine;

—And not contradict Apostolic Tradition, Holy Scripture, any conciliar-defined dogma, or any previous infallible statement.

So, does this statement meet those criteria?
"Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren, I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful."
You bet your sweet bippy it does.

Ergo, the argument if done. It’s over with, it’s already been decided. "Roma locuta est, causa finis est."

If all these dissident women want to be priests, then there are any number of Protestant churches right down the road that they will feel ever so much more comfortable in.

In short, if you don’t want to observe the bylaws, you can’t be a member of the club. See ya, have a nice day, and don’t let the church door hit you where the good Lord split you. Sayonara.

Right on my brother!!!

We are not asexaully beings. We have specfic roles that God intrusted on us. We should accept those roles and rejoice that we are different from each other.

Well the femi - nazi’s will respond that it is man that has put these “restrictions on the female sex.”. Well then if you dont accept the divine commission of the catholic church, your not a catholic.
