Pope on Twitter

Although the Pope sent a Twitter message to launch the new Vatican news site, he used the Twitter account of that news site. I’m not sure whether he actually has a Twitter account of his own.
 
Thank you very much for your warm welcome. I appreciate it. Now that I have returned, I hope to stay, enjoy, and make progress in our faith with you all. Commenting, receiving and giving from what I have learned, observed, experienced, and continually go on learning in our school of life.

I don’t know how to use Twitter yet, but as the Pope is using upto date technology, I am sure this is going to act as a spur for many of us to stop putting off getting to grips with Twitter and quickly learn, because as one of your commentators has remarked, it will be very interesting to read what he has to say. And I certainly am more than just interested.

Having read Pope Benedict’s books (among them JESUS OF NAZARETH, Part I, Part II bought, but not yet started) I have discovered that his great ablility to treat serious and complicated matters of faith in ways that are easy to understand makes a real difference to **my own ** ability to follow matters of faith which will be of considerable help for me to know why I believe what I believe.

I was very laid back about getting into Twitter but now it is one of my priorities. I am sure the learning will be fun. Like a lot of our new communication systems, the less seriously you take it the quicker you get there.
 
Hehehe, I heard about this on the news. They said the Pope isn’t following anyone on twitter, of course I don’t know this… just heard it on the news.
