I’m looking for some really nice pictures of the Pope saying Mass. And I say “nice” in the context of beautiful vestments. Can anyone help me with this? I’d prefer post-VII Popes, but anything is greatly appreciated.

This is Pope Benedict XVI in a traditional form of the Pauline or a TLM. 😃

It’s small but I like it. Am I spamming too much? I can stop now I guess.

OK just one more. I like our Pope in green too 🙂

I should have added this before, but forgot. If you are going to be publishing these images in any way, you must license them. These photos are the property of the photographer, and it is illegal (and a sin) to steal them. Publishing includes any form of printing, or web publication. Some photographers will allow you to hotlink to their photos if you give them credit. I have had one or two of my photos used without my consent in the past, and now have my name and copyright statement embedded in the EXIF data. Trust me, in the long run it’s much less expensive to license the photos than to pay the license fee and both the photographer’s and your legal fees.
I’m only posting this because people forget how much Pro equipment costs, and that these photos are the photographers source of income.

Okay, I’m getting off my soapbox now. . .

Yours in Christ,
Thursday

Here are a ton of great pictures of Pope Paul VI at the canonization Mass for St. Charles Lwanga and companions:

Here’s a picture of Pope John Paul II in some great Mass vestments:

Here’s a good one of Pope Benedict:

As an aside, here is a great site for great Catholic pictures of vestments and related things. Check out the list of links on the right:

Okay, sorry for the earlier tirade then. I’m a photographer, and it gets frustrating when people steal your images. Many people think if it is on the internet, they can do what they want with it.
Sorry again.

Yours in Christ,
Thursday

GENERAL REMINDER

Please when posting photos change IMGs to URLs–some of these photos are so outsize as to distort both the look of the board and cause problems for some viewers. Thanks for your help!

The color Rose is only used twice each year.

I’d like any picture of Rose vestments.
