The Pope’s comments in Stara Bovlslav yesterday seem so obvious that one should not have to point it out. Why, we in America have not figured this out is mind boggling. Unfortunately because the Pope is pointing this out many; especially the liberal press in America and around the world will automatically ignore it because it comes from the Catholic Church. Just like they have ridiculed and mocked previous wisdom from various Popes since Pope Paul VI on his Humane Vitae.

One has to question the sanity of people who watch the downfall of this ideology over and over and then proceed to copy it and start it all over again. Just as European countries such as France and Germany are dumping the liberal socialist and electing conservative leaders again, our own country decides it is time to elect the most extreme liberal socialists available who are attacking the basic Christian principles are country was founded upon.

Communist Russia failed because of its godless society, so let’s copy it. Lets drive God our of our daily lives, Yes, it sounds like insanity.

STARA BOLESLAV, Czech Republic (Reuters) - Pope Benedict, ending a trip to this highly secular nation, said on Monday the fall of communists who tried to erase religion was proof that God cannot be excluded from public life.

Communism fell? I think it has become more insidious.
Communism has fallen over and over again in country after country. Russia, Eastern Germany, and numerous others. The problem is that the ideology is still around and many are just too dumb to learn from history…

Absolutely, people need God.

As an economic system, communism is an utter failure. Capitalism is the ideal. I just wish we’d let it operate as intended, without goverment bureaucrats and lobbyists always trying to undermine it.

Our Holy Father has also said that Capitalism is not a good thing. I had to think about that one for awhile but what I think he means is: Lives not centered on God, social systems not centered on God and economic practices not centered on God are all bound to be lacking for the essential needs of the person. We all need some sort of god in our lives, but only the True God will be true fulfillment for the personhood of all of us.

Yes, this is the point I believe. Capitolism is not perfect, however, it offers a chance at a moral God centered society. Communism (at least in all of the forms we have seen throughout history) begins by driving God out of our daily lives. Our American constitution under capitolism is the ideal. Our problem is that our current and past administrations have been slowly but surely driving God out of our daily lives; and obviously the current adminstration is speeding up this process with its attacks on the Catholic Church and its teachings.
