The “pope, and all infidels, should know that no Muslim, under any circumstances, can tolerate an insult to the Prophet (Muhammad). … If the West does not change its stance regarding Islam, it will face severe consequences,” it said.

Wow. Well there’s a quote (from the link) which pretty much sums it up.
It seems to me that they do not worship God…they worshp Muhammud.

And they call US infidels? Seems like a bunch of violent idolators to me…

Islamic leaders have demand the Pope step down. Now the Muslims believe that they have the right to demand the Pope’s resignation. First they want to kill him and now they will settle for his resignation. Ah, but if WE told the head of Al Azar University in Egypt that he had to resign there would be more riots and murders by Muslims.

This goes back to Constantinople AFTER it was conquered by Muslims. You remember during a previous jihad, before political correctness. At any rate the Caliph’s decided who the Patriarch would be and removed them at will. More then one was simply executed. At the Phanar one gate remains closed because a Patriarch was hung there and the Greeks want people to remember that. Oh the joys of dhimmitude.

So now they think that they have the right to tell us what we can and cannot say, what we can believe, and who the Pope will be. As far as they are concerned we have no rights.

PS: Today 3 Christians were unjustly executed in Indonesia. Christian leaders called for the faithful to remain home and be peaceful. Once again we see persecution and Christians do not react violently.
B16 should be given a Nobel prize and a Silver Star for speaking the truth, standing up for the truth, not backing down to opposition and towing the line, in an age when no one in the Western civilized world has a backbone. Let the dogs wrestle for scrpaas below the altar of truth. The gates of hell shall not prevail against us! Glory be to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, who is God almighty!

I agree with you here, it don’t seem the get so angry about Allah, but DO NOT say anything about Mohamed, sounds like cult worship to me.

HAH! Asking a Pope who lived in the eye of the Nazi storm to resign. Pshhhhtt…like a few empty threats can intimidate this bavarian bulldog from stepping down the world’s highest throne.

Makes me wanna laugh…oops speak of the devil.

The Muslims wait for any opportunity to have that ‘persecuted mentallity’ so they can go on a rampage and killing sprees.
If you have read St John Chrysostom’s writing titled “Against the Jews”, you will realise the ancient Jews are the modern day Muslims. Whenever reading the New Testament, please substitute Jew with Muslim. IMO, the Pharisees of the NT are the Muslims of today.
We must remember that Islam’s ultimate goal is total conversion or annihilation.
History tells us Islam began as an Arab cult to convert every human (ie White, Black, Brown and Yellow) into Arabic-speaking people. Later, it became a Kurdish cult, and during the Ottoman era, it became a Turkish cult.

This is why evangelism of Muslims should be a priority. A good place to start will be the West, especially Catholic France–there are millions of Muslims who want to make an Arab Republic of France!

We don’t want France to become like Egypt, where Copts are minority in their own land, and Arabs (really Arabised Muslims who changed their ethnicity 1000 years ago) are majority.

Tell that to Chirac, he is acting like Charmberlain before WWII.

Question,

How many people live in Vatican City.

Cause if I would have to guess, the Pope has no more political power than the mayor of a small city and his police force.

So claiming that the Pope is a political leader is at the same time true, and misleading. We would probably not refer to mayors of small towns and cities as having political power when refering to the world at large.

So why call him the secretary of state for the vatican city if you don’t want to be considered government? Just asking the obvious.
The Church is the New Israel and has a government, just like the Old.

That’s an excellent observation, JCPhoenix. 👍

I wonder if we could make a deal with them. “The pope will resign in exchange for the resignation of every Muslim leader who denies that the Holocaust really happened and has given even an implicit support of suicide bombing and jihad against the west.”
I wonder how they’d feel about that…

As I recall his office has two branches. One handles relations with the Catholic Churches in the various countries. The other manages diplomatic relations with the various governments. In many countries the Vatican Embassy provides a valuable neutral ground for various ambassadors to meet unofficially, as does the Vatican for the ambassadors stationed there. In those countries where the Vatican has an ambassador, he is the senior ambassador in matters of protocol. [Does anyone know how to insert paragraph breaks. This new system runs all my paragraphs together.]

I can’t remember who the famous personality was that said, “Consequences schmonsequences, as long as I’m rich”.

I have to contradict you : I’m French and I can assure you that most Moslems just want to practice their religion in peace … when they practice it, because quite a lot don’t really practice it : they very rarely go to the mosque for instance …

Only a minority of them want to make France , not an “Arab Republic”, but an “Islamic Republic”, and THEY are very vocal , so you can have the wrong feeling that most of them are extremists …
some are, but it’s unfair to others to put them all in the same boat…
“radical” imams are expelled from the French territory when they preach hatred, intolerance and so on, because most of them are foreigners, not French citizens…

Well put Cestusdei. Your quote about the clueless needing to learn more about their new religion caught my attention. I couldn’t have put it better.

A pope can’t resign even if he wanted to…a pope is a pope for life!

and i heard what pope benedict said hmm…doesn’t seem so bad:shrug:

Although I do not follow the pope, its not right for one religion to make demands of another. If this is true, then shame on them.

At least the 3 christians died for the true faith.

Actually, in my observation, that’s the case in the U.S. as well. The Moslems I know personally are secular and very decent people, in fact I prefer their company to that of some of the more austere Calvinist Christians and Mormons in my circle of acquaintance. I’ve traveled and worked in Moslem countries and it seems as though most people, left to their own devices, just want to be left alone to live and let live; to get through life as best they can, just like the rest of us. Kind of like what’s going on in the Anglican/Episcopal communion right now, it appears as though the whole institution has been hijacked by a radical and very vocal minority that are simply using religion as a means to pursue a political agenda. In the Middle East this is largely fueled by lack of education, poverty and perceived prejudice in western foreign policy. In the west it’s largely fueled by our endemic and insane obsession with being “politically correct” under all circumstances; catering to the extreme political agendas of radical minorities, rather than using our God-given common sense and looking out for the interests of our societies as a whole. If this practice continues, and I sure don’t see it abating, the consequences are going to be disastrous and we will have nobody to blame but ourselves. At least the Pope ties to warn us about this, and that’s why they don’t like him, but I fear it’s just a voice in the wilderness.

I’m not that old, but I sure never thought I’d see a day where it’s perfectly ok to slam Christians, but not to criticize anybody else regardless of what they say; where dudes can marry other dudes, and then DEMAND to adopt children. In some places, like Canada and Sweden, you can even be criminally prosecuted for using the bible to refute that sort of insanity. I don’t for a minute believe that the majority of people support that type of legislation, but we are ALLOWING it to happen. We can hardly criticize the majority of Muslims for failing to check their radicals when we fail to check our own.

And once these radical types are running the show, just how “politically correct” do you think they’re going to be with us?

The problem with the world today is that there are not enough people who are willing to quote Flo from the T/V show Alice.

Sometimes, you have to tell people “Kiss my grits.”
