St. Paul, MN (LifeNews.com) – Pope Benedict XVI’s arrival in the United States for a visit appears to have prompted officials at the Catholic University of St. Thomas in Minnesota to backtrack and allow a pro-life speaker they previous rejected.

UST came under fire earlier this month for canceling a planned speech by respected African-American pro-life advocate Star Parker.

That is not the story in the Star Trib. Apparently Ms.Parker’s appearance was to be fifty percent paid for by a conservative group with which the Tommies did not want to be connected. With the University picking up that fifty percent that objection was removed and the talk scheduled in a campus facility. Don’t think Benedict had anything to do with it.👍
