I know that in the Old Testement they forbid eating pork, i heard that Jesus had made all things clean to eat. I was just wondering if someone can give me a verse to find this?

thanks!

Mark 7:18-19 is most often quoted. You’re welcome and God bless you.

Look at Acts 10. Peter receives a vision from the Lord that these previously forbidden sources of food are now acceptable.

Those are all good verses to advocate the liberty of meals given in Christ.

The Law of Moses forbade the eating of certain foods due to the hazards from them. Pig was forbidden because it was a nasty animal and people did not cook it properly. Likewise, shellfish, birds of prey, anything with paws, etc. were also forbidden from consumption out of concern for the Israelite people. This is the practical reason.

The spiritual reason is the separation from life and death, from clean and unclean, from spirit and flesh. The liberty in Christ allows you to choose freely. While pork is available, it is also considered largely to be unhealthy. It is up to you whether or not to partake of it with knowledge that your body is a temple.

Also be aware of Rom 14 which says that if your brother in faith is offended by what you eat, then it is best to abstain. This goes with anything else for that matter. Do not let your liberty in Christ cause others to stumble.
