I am in no way a former pessimist, or we can say that I am under upgrading myself into an optimistic person. I’ve read a book how to be optimistic, the book states something like about “Affirmations” [saying to yourself like ‘I am confident’ and apply it to yourself], journal, etc. And if a negative thought comes to your mind, change it immediately.

I’ve also read that Law of Attraction is something like that.

What should I do to have positive thinking other than I stated above?

Perhaps the best way of cultivating positive thinking is to cultivate gratitude.
Cultivating the virtue of thankfulness.
Allowing time to recognize the good in our lives and around us,
Appreciating the gifts God has given in great and tiny ways.
Even in sad and broken times, searching for the good even if it’s as small as a grain of sand.

It was ingratitude that was the sin of humankind that brought death and pain.
Instead of gratitude for all that was given, our ‘first parents’ wanted and took the one thing they couldn’t have.
