Possible book club?

I know there used to be book clubs on here and was just wondering if anyone was interested in starting another. The only problem is reconciling a lot of divergent tastes but it shouldn’t be too hard. And heck if some people choose not to join that’s okay too.

I love book clubs, but not the type where everyone reads the same book and then discusses it. Far too much like my old English Lit classes and I’ve never been able to tolerate those “Why do you think the author…” type questions that seem to abound. I like the type of club where you share reviews of books you’ve loved (or loathed lol) and then follow members can decide whether or not to bother. So I could be up for joining…or maybe not! 😁
 
I don’t know what books others would be interested in but I’m pretty open as far as suggestions go. It would be nice to see a book club here.
 
Yes, I think the OP needs to think about the objectives of the book club, and decide how it will work.

Definitely not into the formal questions type book club myself. I like being honest about how you feel regarding a book.

I would be glad to contribute once I know what sort of format you have in mind. I’m an avid reader with a wide variety of tastes, so count me in, at least to have a look. I’ve never been in a book club before. 🙂
 
Okay, I am going to move this along by asking a question. @StudentMI, if we chose a book like To Kill Mockingbird for example, what would you like to do with this thread after we read the book?
