Possible demon possession?

They ran tests on her and discovered she had a HUGE tumor on her brain. It was operable, but to think, all her boy went through because they never checked out why her head hurt so frequently. My mom doesn’t know what happened after that, but this is a perfect example of how sometimes medical conditions affect a person’s behavior.
A brain tumor…depending on its location in the brain… absolutely a possibility!
This is correct… even if they investigate they start out with a psychologist and that could take up to a year for his/her findings.
That is correct…
and in the meantime this house might have a subtle gas leak or a backdrafting gas appliance that is a ticking time bomb…
especially if they happen to have weird “paranormal” stuff going on like lights or appliances going on and off that can be caused by near field effects from high tension electrical systems, broadcast towers, microwave transmission lines or fields, leaky microwave ovens, or local radar navigation systems unknowingly intermittantly beaming through the place.

It doesn’t take much of a gas leak to cause neurological problems and it doesn’t take much of an electrostatic spark to turn a gas leak into a house fire.

The new grammar school had major electromagnetic paranormal stuff going on of the worst sort and kids and parents and teachers were climbing the walls over behavioral problems…
A 2 year investigation concluded that it was built in the electrostatic near field of a commercial broadcast antenna and that it had major air quality problems with tight construction practices and outgassing VOC’s and radon. They’re still trying to figure out how to fix it, who is legally liable to pay for fixing it, and how much the near field electromagnetic radiation puts the kids at risk for brain tumors… beyond just getting electrostatic shocks from the chain link fencing and playground equipment when atmospheric conditions are right.

The next time a priest tells you that Biblical accounts of demons are mere mental illnesses, refer him to this scripture passage (Mark 5: 1-20):
1 They came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes.
2
When he got out of the boat, at once a man 2 from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met him.
3
The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain.
4
In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains, but the chains had been pulled apart by him and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him.
5
Night and day among the tombs and on the hillsides he was always crying out and bruising himself with stones.
6
Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before him,
7
crying out in a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, 3 Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me!”
8
(He had been saying to him, “Unclean spirit, come out of the man!”)
9
4 He asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “Legion is my name. There are many of us.”
10
And he pleaded earnestly with him not to drive them away from that territory.
11
Now a large herd of swine 5 was feeding there on the hillside.
12
And they pleaded with him, “Send us into the swine. Let us enter them.”
13
***And he let them, and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. ***14
The swineherds ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside. And people came out to see what had happened.
15
As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear.
16
Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine.
17
Then they began to beg him to leave their district.
18
As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him.
19
But he would not permit him but told him instead, “Go home 6 to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.”
20
Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed.
If the people in Jesus’ time were merely benighted - and demon possession was just mental illness - then there is absolutely no reason for ANIMALS to kill themselves by drowning in the sea. This is no mere mental illness.

Sorry, it’s a matter of inerrant faith that there are angels and, by extension, the fallen angels (demons). See, for example, CCC 1673.

Now, that has NOTHING to do with whether or not YOU are faced with a case of possession. Your best bet is * to call the Diocese directly. * Get the help you need there.

Regardless of whether or not you face a possession, you are facing serious issues. Therefore, you should NOT be taking advice from strangers like us online - except to the extent of where you can find official Church help and/or medical help with such issues. So, call the diocese and visit the medical professionals recommended by them.
