Possibly a strange question....aliens?

This is my humble opinion. I used to believe in the seemingly credible evidence of extraterrestrial life, but that’s not exactly true from my studying. It goes to the question, how did life arise on earth? No scientific lab can reproduce this

So with our Christian tradition, is it too much to say that perhaps we are the only rational creatures in this universe? In Pope B XVI recent book Jesus of Nazareth the infancy, we read that humans in fact are greater than nature itself, or greater than the stars. Because we have an immortal soul.

Is it too much to think that we are the only rational creatures in the universe that can know and love the Triune God?

But also, I think of John 3:16 where it says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son”

Not saying this is the correct interpretation, but I do think it is a fun way to perhaps reconcile Christian thought with aliens. Saying, perhaps the other creatures in the universe did not fall like our parents did. Perhaps we were the only rational free thinking creatures God created that chose to disobey.

I still hold to my first thought though that we are most likely the only rational intelligent life, or at least life with immortal souls here in the universe. But thanks for bearing with me 🙂

Ah. Yes. Mocking. Ridicule.

It is often a difficult thing to aknowlege a thing if one* refuses* to study a thing.

So. What is your take on the Jerusalem UFO, since seeing is not believing in your cosmology, apparently. I always thought the Scientific Method incorporated visual observation. Silly me. The UFO is what then? The Muslim Angels? A star that fell to the area and decided to leave again? A really, really big Lightening Bug? 🤷

Psssssssst. Area 51 is indeed an actuality. That is where much of the Black Ops Skunkworks functioned.

Neither is anecdotal evidence to be ignored. We formulate** Law** based on witness testimony-yes?

So. I’m listening…
Sorry to hijack the thread, but the Jerusalem UFO was a proven hoax.

There are plenty cases better than that one, check out the Edwards Air Force Base encounter in 1967. If there’s a smoking gun, that’s it. 👍

To the bold part, exactly! 👍

There are many who believe–and I am one of them–that so-called “aliens” are actually demons.
I used to think that too.

After a lot of time studying the topic, I changed my mind.

People like You and me, Humans, have been working for a long time on a Plan to deceive the whole world.

People, normal people, developed anti-gravity, and kept it hidden from plain sight for at least 100 years.

They are the fake aliens.

That is an interesting question. 🙂 My theory is that if aliens exist which I believe they do, they might have something to do with the fallen angels mating with human women and creating giants…
I used to believe that too, but then I read “The City of God” from St. Augustine, and that book changed my mind about the topic.

Angels are 100% non corporeal. They do not eat, drink, go to toilet, etc. They do not have sex either, indeed they lack gender as well.

There is just one creature that is part spiritual, and part physical. That creature is Man.

There were giants, but they were Humans. Really big Humans, but Humans after all.

There were Dragons too, perhaps a few still survive somewhere in the sea.

St. Augustine documented unusual things from nature on that book. I recommend it!

Jesus talks of a great deception. This would be a perfect deception. If an alien or demon showed the world of humans how Jesus was an alien also, but wanted to control the world. And they were here to really set the world free. We humans would fall for that line, hook and sinker. Jesus is God. He created the aliens, if they exist. God bless:thumbsup:👍👍
Aliens do not exist.

We (Catholics) have been pushed slowly off-track.

First step was to say that Earth moves. It doesn’t.
Second step was to put the Pagan God (The Sun) on the center of a Planetary Model. In Reality Earth is the Center of God’s Creation.
The Catholic Church demolished the superstition that Planets were gods, we proved they were just Rocks out there.
We proved the Planets did not control our destiny, we proved they were not alive or intelligent.
Then Evil Men re-animated the outer space, they invented the big bang theory, spontaneous generation, evolution, etc…
They have worked hard at convincing modern men that:
  • There is life where there isn’t.
  • That life is intelligent, even wise enough to be followed as a Religion.
  • That such life is superior and controls our destiny, even to believe we were made by those who “live out there”. Modern man is fooled into believing that our God is an Alien.
These lies started a long time ago, and they still have way to go. Out of those lies will come the extreme persecution from St. Malachy’s Prophecy.

Wait for it, You will be told that Aliens look identical to regular Human Beings.

There was a Judas among the 12, and it should not surprise You if a Priest leads You towards the wolves. These are hard times.

ppl interested in these things might like CS Lewis’ “Prelandra” and the other two books in the trilogy that has a Christian science fiction theme

There are strange things, strange things happen. Not to everybody, and not all the time, but strange poorly understood, prooly documented things actually happen.

Of course there is also disinformation, and people who jump on your neck to ridicule anyone talking about it.

But a lot, if not all UFO Phenomena are man made.

Technology is at least 100 years ahead of what You and me use on our iPhones.

Anything as advanced as that will look “magical” or “otherwordly” for most people.

Or… read “Childhood’s End”.

But the topic is not fiction. I can write a love story, and people still fall in love for real.

George Orwell wrote about Totalitarian Governments, and they exist in real life.

I think the ET Question does not need any further fictionalization.

Aircraft referred to as UFOs are all man-made. There is no evidence for aliens. There is no evidence that demons require unusual aircraft to travel around in.

Peace,
Ed

I am glad to see you are well informed.

Demons and Angels are nowhere and everywhere at the same time because they aren’t physical, they don’t need transportation.

Only Men fly on UFOs, only Men make holograms of them, only Men fly them as drones too.

But besides that, there are also Theological Threats to our Faith which are around and ready to strike.

Such threats started with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

That Fusion of Big Bang and Catholicism started there and is a very dangerous cocktail for the soul.

Okay, so from what I understand there is at least a good possibility that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. What is the proper Catholic response to that? If humans and aliens ever made contact would we be expected to try to evangelize them?..
Wait until they say: “Take me to your leader.” Then take them to Eucharistic Adoration.👍

I really hope you’re joking with all this, otherwise I don’t think you’re well.

The Earth moves, we’ve pretty much proven that one beyond any doubt. Any amateur astronaut can figure that one out by launching a weather balloon with a few instruments to measure air speed, and then compare the final resting place of the balloon to its theoretical resting place if the Earth was stationary. You will find, 99.9999% of the time, that the two will be different.

No, we have no clue where the center of God’s creation is because we haven’t found the limits of the universe so far. Without edges, we have no way of determining the center. I’ll agree that we’re the center of his plan for salvation of humanity, but that’s because we’re the ones who made that plan necessary.

No one… ever… thought the planets were gods. The planets were named for the roman pantheon because most of the planets were discovered by Roman astrologers.

We proved that planets were not alive, but it’s still only conjecture that they have no influence over our destinies, as there’s no way to prove that. We, as Catholics, reject the notion because it stands in stark contrast to free will; however, it is not something that can be proven rationally (through scientific means)

The Big Bang Theory was developed by a devout Catholic monk, and does not conflict with any Church teachings, nor does evolution.

Aside form the first point, only the conspiracy nuts believe this, and they make up a minuscule percentage of the population.

The prophecy of Malachy is a load of bupkis, and was proven to be a forgery that was written multiple centuries after the death of the man who’s name it as subverted.

The rest of your post is utter nonsense. If you actually believe this stuff you need to seek spiritual and psychiatric guidance.

As for my twopence on the subject. I think that aliens are within the scope of possibility, and I even believe that ensouled aliens are within the scope of possibility. I have no idea what there state of grace would be, nor their level of intelligence. And frankly, I don’t see how it has any affect on Catholicism at all. The Bible and Christ’s coming was purely for humanity, what would it gain by referencing an alien species except a divergent and unimportant detail to our salvation.

I do not, however, believe in aliens, at least not intelligent (rational) ones. I think we’re one of a kind; but I could be wrong.
Wait until they say: “Take me to your leader.” Then take them to Eucharistic Adoration.👍
I like it, though they may think we’re nuts; like the rest of the world 😛
