Two of them actually,
  1. Would a couple be required to go to confession prior to marriage? That is, if either of them were never married.
  2. To be honest, I’ve never been to a wedding before (let alone a Catholic one). Do people recieve communion at a wedding? lol can’t believed I asked that.

We should regularly go to Confession.

Marriage may take place as part of a Mass or outside of Mass. With Mass the Liturgy of the Eucharist is of course part, outside of Mass (this would be preferred when there is a mixed marriage) there is no Liturgy of the Eucharist.

  1. A couple should prepare themselves for the sacrament of marriage in the same way we prepare for any sacrament. If aware of serious sin, yes they should go to the sacrament of reconciliation.
  2. The Rite of Marriage can be held either within the Mass or outside the Mass. It depends upon several factors, including whether or not a priest or deacon witnesses the marriage.

IF the nuptial mass is used

THEN the celebrant and most likely the married couple (if both are Catholic) will receive communion. Usually any practicing Catholics will be invited forward for communion. Others may be invited forward for a blessing.
