This reminds me of my first pilgrimage to Lourdes in 1965 . At the beginning of our first Mass at the Grotto our bishop said , " Well here we are at the Gate of Heaven."

This is a wip of mine. It is a Russan icon, but I don’t know Russian so don’t know its title. I am stitching individual beads onto a printed canvas. Each bead is a prayer.
