Post Apostolic Revelation?

I was wondering why there couldn’t be Post Apostolic Revelation? You hear about Joseph Smith, Ellen White, The WatchTower Society, ect. Why couldn’t there hypothetically be more Revelation given by God past the death of the Last Apostle? Thanks and God bless.
 
Christ is the revelation. Anything more than that is made up by men. All we can do is plume the deposit of faith to better understand it, the immaculate conception (kecharitomene) and so on.

If there is an additional revelation besides Christ it isn’t from God, but men or worse.

Also it is important to distinguish between public and private revelation. Public revelation is at an end, it ended with the resurrection and ascention, though Jesus can reveal things to us privately to better enlighten us.
