I recently finished the book An Infinity of Little Hours about the Carthusians. The book discusses the pre-Conciliar practises of the Carthusian Order; the author mentions that some things have changed after the Council, and the former Carthusians felt scandalised that their Order, which they felt was great the way it was, could change.
My question is, what are the changes that were made to the Carthusians after the Council? The author of the book doesn’t elabourate on this.
Since the Carthusian Order is small, it’s hard to find people who know it that well. It’s not like studying the Jesuits. I do know one guy who is a Carthusian novice and I could ask him, but he’s so young I doubt he would really have much insight.
