Seriously–what’s with the obsession with weird stuff. Why can’t people just be chill with a nice, traditional nativity scene and forget the provocative schlock for a little while. They can’t even take a break from it at Christmas of all times.

The nativity scene should be a rich human experience connecting the divine with mankind in a simple yet spectacular story. A story laden with meaning and emotion at an important crossroad of human history.

None of that is present at the Vatican and you really have to as why. Instead, to be honest, the Vatican depiction is a turn off. It is almost like people are going out of their way to take something beautiful and degrade it.

I much prefer the traditional nativity scenes such as the one at the White House.
