For some, it can get frustrating where we are versus where we should be. I do not fully agree or understand all of the teachings of the Catholic Church. I like how people on here do not for one moment try to condone sin, that is rampant in our society. At the same time, there is a reason why we cannot fully conquer sin. It is a difficult thing to fully understand, it is our nature to sin but we cannot excuse it. I’d like to believe trying your best and being honest with yourself is good enough. I have to humbly accept my mistakes. It can become frustrating when you repeat a sin, it is completely in your control to stop but why it is so difficult to stop? When I have a to-do list for the day, I may forget somethings or not follow through, I do not have enough time, I may lose the list. Time management is difficult. Life is very short yet patience is a virtue. It is difficult for me to accept I am fully responsible for all my behavior yet I cannot make myself perfect. I become upset with myself for not getting a job fast enough, not always being understanding, forgetting things constantly, not being the perfect listener. No forgiving or letting things go fast enough. I should cut out this behavior as best as I can, but for whatever reason it just is not always that easy. 😊⭕(

Is this an essay or a question?

Unfortunately, trying your best is not good enough. A sin is a sin whether we believe it is or not. We are responsible for our behavior because we are the ones that choose it.,

However, God is not expecting perfection because He knows we are imperfect. That is why we go to confession. You have a whole lifetime to keep trying. Every day, we can choose the right way, or the wrong way. Sometimes, making the choice is easy. Other times, life can be one temptation after another. But we can’t just give up and say, oh well.

Keep trying to do the right thing, CRATUS.

Ok.

I believe there’s a quote from Fr. Benedict Groeschel, God rest his soul, where he says that God, in the end, will see if we tried.
I understand what you are saying, I did say that we must keep trying after all. And only
God will be the judge of whether we tried or not.

Maybe I shouldn’t have posted this. Thoughts like these can easily become depressing. I have so much life to live. I will follow God and try to be happy. It seems like whether I try or not, I am still a sinner. I will go read a book. I am done with this.
