To say that the Mass changes is the cause of the decrease in attendance, is misplaced blame at best. If one studies history, it is obvious the world went through a radical cultural and ethical change in the 60s. This radical change is to blame for the decline in practicing Catholics.
 
That is true. I was there before and after Vatican II. There was a planned, coordinated attack against the Church that began right after the Council ended. Dissidents outside and inside the Church were involved. It didn’t matter to me that one day, I walked into Church and there was a small table in front of the High Altar, the priest was facing the people and the Mass was in English instead of Latin. Holy Mother Church was and is to be obeyed. People came into our neighborhoods preaching a false gospel and those in the Church began to preach distractions and falsehoods. This during a time period where people were more trusting. We Were Lied To, but by the time it sunk in, it was too late for some.

Both pre and post Vatican II, and all contradictions are merely apparent.
