M’sorry to hear it, brother. It does happen, and these things have a way of drawing us closer to God, and ultimately to greater fulfillment, if we let them. I was in much the same sitch: The girl in question was never totally sure about how far we were going to go, then she needed time to think, and things just kind of went south.
All you can do now is just keep living your life. I got involved with my choir at church, and later on felt a call to check out the Secular Franciscan Order; those things really helped to focus my thoughts on things that will last. If you’re not already, maybe you can become a lector or the like at your own parish?
If you’re like me, you feel you really want to be married someday. If that’s the case, I tell you: Have hope, keep building your faith, and let God show you how to grow right where you are. Every day we have is a gift, and for those of us currently chilling as singles, there is a lot we can do to help others that folks with SO’s just can’t devote the time and energy to.
And, too: Love ya, man. I’m praying for you. Things will get better with time and focus. Trust Him.
