Potential House Speaker John Boehner a True Pro-Life Advocate on Abortion

Washington, DC – John Boehner, the Ohio congressman who is the leading Republican in the House, is not as well known as pro-abortion Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but tonight’s election could change that quickly.

When it comes to the issue of abortion, Boehner has not only been a consistent pro-life advocate, but he’s been recognized by leading pro-life organizations as a champion or hero in protecting unborn children.

Whatever it takes to win a district.

Other than Ron Paul who actually brought up a Sanctity of Life bill on the floor which went nowhere, there are no true pro-life politicians. They sure are nice with that rhetoric though.
 
OK, we have succeeded in electing a raft of pro-life candidates. When should we expect the first bills to limit or halt abortion to be put in the hopper?
 
They are talking about REPEALING Obamacare, first thing. That’s a good start.

We’ve got one pending in Texas, that would force abortion clinics to show a woman her ultrasound before she decides to abort. The implementation might be a challenge, since PP could presumably show a woman anything and pretend it was an ultrasound but then we could send Lila Rose in to expose that and shut them down legally.

I believe OK is also pending the same or similar legislation. When the states have majorities in their Congresses, stuff can happen.
 
I think it’s only a matter of time before they get to dealing with abortion. They will probably tackle the health care bill first, which is def. a good thing. I hope they try to do something about abortion in 2011…now that we’ve got these prolife guys in, let’s keep writing them and telling them to get to work to stop the killing of the unborn…

I’m really afraid to look at this link. Is it as embarrassing and bad as I think it is??

P.S. - I looked at it and am really angry now. What I noticed was that it was kinda an all or nothing thing. Either the Catholic was a full 100% in line with teaching or a full 0%. There were barely any that were in the middle. I think this shows us a truth behind the dissent ‘catholics’(that people either fully adhere to the Church teaching, or fully do not)

That’s a great start, we got to get those people with pre- existing conditions out of the marketplace for insurance, those dirt bags drag down the profits of the insurance companies and depress the market for executive travel and the amount of Mercedes Benz’s being sold.

And all those recent college grads out of work, they are not working because they can be comfortable knowing they still are covered by insurance until they are 26, they need to get off their butts and start working. And speaking of recent graduates, the new congresspeople coming in have said they want to eliminate the Pell grants that help the middle class pay for college, it is because those grants are making the middle class free loaders too and we have to eliminate that attitude that the middle class is entitled to share in the good of the country from a educational perspective.

And I can’t wait for the tax breaks for the rich to be extended. Giving them the breaks in the first place didn’t help the economy or create jobs, but it is only because we haven’t been patient enough and given those rich the time to consider how they will invest to create jobs, they have only had since 2001 to make those tax cuts work, lets give them more time.

I can’t wait until the whole country’s healthcare system is as good as South Carolina or Mississippi or Florida or Kentucky or any of the other states where the repeal of healthcare is running the strongest. They know best for the whole country because they have gotten treated so well by those they voted for in the past and who they voted for this time around.

And Boehner has gotten so much accomplished in his decades on the hill, I hope he can continue to make things better for all Americans, after all he is so strong in the fight to stop the corporations from running this country and by doing so he has shown how he thinks about the value of every person , which is the basis for treating the least like they may be Jesus in the guise of the least.

And the best evidence of that is how he supported the Citizens united finding that corporations have the same rights as real people.Thank God for that. Now we can put all people, real or otherwise , in the proper perspective.

I think the first thing they plan is to kill the idea of letting the Bush tax cuts expire. That will let companies and businesses know what moneys they have to work with next year and they may then add jobs. We know that Obama will veto most of what they send to him, but that will clearly define the two parties for 2012.

There are things that can be done with abortion and I am not willing to say that they will not come to pass. But then again, I am not a liberal who always seems the glass half empty.

**This is a huge improvement, but now our work has just begun!

We must all continue to fight for Life, for innocent babies everyday!!

We cannot sit back & expect politicians to solve our problems, most often they make them worse even when trying to help.

We must start in our own lives today & everyday.

Read Sacred Scripture, the Catechism daily & learn the Truth about what Jesus & His One, Holy, Catholic, & Apostolic Church have taught us for 2000 years.

We must passionately & compassionately live the example of a Pro-Life Catholic witness daily & we must take every opportunity to educate our families, friends & even strangers on the sanctity of Human Life from conception to natural death, no matter how difficult or uncomfortable.

Given Boehner’s track record, or complete lack thereof, on so many of the important issues, I think we are in for a real treat for the next couple of years, barring of course any accidents involving whatever radioactive stuff it is he puts on his skin or seeing him slip in a big puddle of his crocodile tears.

In all seriousness, though, oh ye of little/great/wobbling faith–we need to be careful about how credulous we are whenever some charlatan takes the stage claiming to be pro-life. Just because we like his stance on abortion doesn’t mean we’ll like his stance on anything else. It’s unfortunate that our analysis of various political candidates inevitably boils down to one particular issue, blocking out the rest and potentially blinding us to the fact that we are being manipulated as a particular subset of the population. Remember the many different forms of murder that exist, including unjust capital punishment and insupportable wars. Remember the poor, the sick, the disadvantaged, and ask yourselves who it is that will help these people. When all the issues are taken into account, it’s no longer quite so clear whose merits are superior. Certainly these things cannot be decided along party lines.

Indeed. If they were as pro-life as they preach and people give them credit for, the Sanctity of Life bill should be at the top of the list and all should support Ron Paul’s previous bills:

What will that accomplish? Currently (and before Obamacare was passed) most health care insurance pays/paid for abortions. Nothing has changed there. There is no public option where abortions wouldn’t be covered. If public option had been offered and would cover abortions then it would make a difference. But that’s not the case. Repeal Obamacare for other reasons, maybe, but certainly not this one.

Why do you think this is a priority for them or even on the radar? They’re not single-issue congressmen and I doubt you can find a race where abortion was the hot ticket issue.

The Senate won’t pass such a house bill, Obama won’t sign it, there’s not enough votes to override a veto, and any district court would enjoin it as being unconstitutional.

The real agenda of the politicians on the right, is not one of right to life, just days after the election the right is telling the gas companies they don’t have to worry about the environment, they are telling Wall Street not to worry about regulation and they are saying thank you to all the corporations who provided the money to heat up the tea pot.

Abortion will be a political issue for decades if the professional politicians get their way and so far that looks like the case.

Both parties abuse the outside spending loopholes:

In this past mid-term election, more was spent on conservative campaigns, but not so in 2008, 2006, or 2004, when it became all the rage.

Also, if you filter specifically to the new super-PAC’s, it actually is even again between money spent on conservative and liberal campaigns.
