In need of some powerful church prayers. To bring someone back to the RCC.
Could some refer me to a printed list or something? Thanks!

I would suggest that you pray a novena to your favorite saint for his/her intercession.

All Prayers are powerful.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for

(Mention your intention here.)

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayers are not “magical spells” that give us power if we recite them. Ultimately, all goodness from prayers, any prayers, comes from God Himself if He decides it is good for us and our souls.

God answers every prayer; often times, the answer is “no.”

I totally agree and that is what I meant to say.

God bless,

But if we don’t pray, perhaps we may miss the chance to help save a soul. I would recommend the prayer to St. Monica and perhaps a Novena to the Holy Spirit.

Try St.Mike.org and his spiritual warfare prayers. Your desire to pray is wonderful and you should pray. Just because perhaps God may say “no” don’t let it discourage you.God wants everyone to come to him . Prayers are about hope and faith, not worrying about if God will say “no.” Start praying! Remember the thing about the only dumb questiion being the one not asked? I believe that goes for prayers, too. Also, don’t give up a prayer if you do not see results. You never know the effect your prayer will have. Have faith. God is very good. It is said that our prayers are not answered sometimes because we do not ask enough.
