**PLANNED PARENTHOOD LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN AGAINST POPE BENEDICT XVI **

New York, May. 04, 2005 ( CNA ) - Planed Parenthood has launched a campaign to motivate all of its members and supporters, nominal Catholics and non-Catholics, to send letters to the editor, requesting that Pope Benedict XVI reconsider his “backward views” and change his opinion on sexual morality.

Pope Benedict XVI must be encouraged to “reconsider his dangerously outdated stances on birth control, abortion and sexuality in order to help move the Catholic Church into the 21st century,” reads a memo issued by campaign manager Eve Fox.

“The new Pope’s positions on these crucial issues pose a terrible danger to the health of millions of women and girls around the world and undermines efforts to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS,” Fox wrote.

The campaign manager justified this action, saying that the “the Church has tremendous influence over many governments, especially in Latin America, and plays a powerful role in shaping social and political norms around the world.”

Calling him “even more conservative” than Pope John Paul II, Fox told her supporters that Pope Benedict XVI is “against all forms of contraception and opposes the use of condoms to prevent HIV/AIDS.”
Prior to being elected Pope, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger “told Catholics in the U.S. it would be a sin to vote for pro-choice candidates like John Kerry, and urged bishops to deny Kerry Communion. He has also led the Catholic Church’s campaign against same-sex marriage and other rights for same-sex couples, including the right to adopt children,” wrote Fox.

Is there any doubt that the selection of Benedict XVI was the best choice? If Planned Parenthood doesn’t like him, I love him all the more.

Yes, because letters to the editor from supporters of the murderous Planned Parenthood is really going to change unchanging doctrine.

When will people learn the Church will never change positions.

Isn’t it amazing that the only correct choice, that is to abstain from what is supposed to be marital relations is not a “choice” for PP, but murder is?

Every time I read about something like that I praise God and thumb my nose at PP, the spawn from Hell.

We already know how the story ends and that won’t change…but apparently they haven’t gotten the message that they’ve been on the losing team from the beginning.

Wow, what next the mafia is going to be upset with corruption in the government. I guess Planned Parenthood doesn’t want to jeopardize womens’, girls’ lives but advoocates for the end of them.

I didn’t know that abstinence while still unmarried and not being promiscious are outdated views now. It seems the modern, “progressive”, and “right” views are to have many partners as one wants, without any limit or inhibition, and allowing people to experiment because it’s their right to do so.

I am sure this does not surprise any of us! Satan has been working for 2000 years to undermine our Church. Christ will prevail.

One doesn’t care about women and girls if one doesn’t care about babies. After all, babies grow up to be girls and women.😃

Planned Parenthood knows that whatever it says will have no effect on the Vatican, so they must have some other agenda…

It is sad to see that they have no concern for their souls…quite sad. Pray for them that they might repent before the end.

How completely pathetic! I’m curious though: What are the stats of people who actually buy this cr*p?

Unbelievable! Don’t they realize how stupid they sound blaming the Pope for problems caused by NOT practicing chastity, abstinence, and monogamy? The Pope does not promote unsafe sex and then try to mitigate the consequences. How utterly ridiculous.

Sounds like he’s getting started off on the right foot. Let’s thank the Lord for giving us Ratzinger as our Holy Father – may he remain firm & true to the faith. 👍

I think there is more to it than trying to change the RCC. PP knows letters to the editor will not do that. There’s a political agenda in there somewhere, I’m just too thick headed to see it clearly. I suspect it has to do with the Catholic pro-choice candidates and how they’re perceived next election year. PP has strong ties to the Democratic party and realizes abortion hurt the democrats in 2004. I’m sure someone more knowledgable will come along and address other possiblilites.

sigh
I can’t wait till Pope Benedict visits America…he’s going to kick this lands buttoux!
🙂 🙂 🙂
God Bless,

Justin

They’re trying to promote disidence in the Church. They want the liberals to rise up and protest.
