Practitioner Must Pay Survivor of Failed Abortion $36 Million

Orlando, FL – In a legal case that has received no mainstream media attention, a Florida abortion practitioner has been ordered by a court to pay the survivor of a failed abortion $36 million in damages for injuries she suffered from the abortion.

I can’t decide if this is a good thing, or a bad thing. Of course it is wonderful that the survivor is alive! and that the court recognizes that the practitioner is responsible. However, I can see this turned around and let abortioners “make sure” the child is dead.

And what about the mother? Does she look at her child every day and feel any sort of responsibility at all for her condition? Or is it “all the doctor’s fault”?

What a mess.😦

That’s exactly how it will be. The practioner was sued because the infant survived, because the abortion failed and did not turn out as expected. So yes, of course, doctors who perform abortions have to “make sure” the job is completed.

What kind of a person sues a doctor of this type of “mistake”?

There are already “wrongful birth” suits where parents sue doctors for not alerting them to teh fact their foetus had whatever condition they didn’t want and would have aborted if they’d known.

Things like this will only make it so once outside teh womb baby has no rights at all, it could hammer the last nail in the coffin of those born alive infant protection acts.

I recall Obama saying something about infants surviving abortions, along the lines of ‘a doctor should be able to finish his job and provide the mother with her choice". I dont’ have time right now to find the exact quote.

This is teh brave new world we live in…

Or conversely it could signal the first recognition that a child, even inside the womb, had the personhood and right not to be mutilated by a doctor attempting to murder it…
