Have a Praise to share!
Back this past summer, a friend of a friend, Amanda, started helping me around my house and with the boys. Sort of being a Nanny/Housekeeper for me, which frees me up to be able to work from home (thanks be to God!).
Well, her ex-boyfriend is trying to get custody of their son because he doesn’t want to pay child support
(Prayer request #1)
When this started happening, I picked up a Rosary for her and a pamphlet with all the scripture reading according to the Mysteries, gave it to her and just said to her … “We have a Mother in Heaven, and she will pray for us, she understands” and that’s it!
Amanda never said anything else to me about the Rosary.
Well, this past Oct 31st, was the last day that I had seen her or talked to her until TODAY! Seems like she kind of went off the deep end and went through a huge depression/anxiety darkeness (prayer request #2).
She and I talked today, all morning long. Crying. Talking about Christ, suffering, and life. And she told me something…
Back at the end of August she saw my Rosary on my coffee table with a copy of the 9-1-1 prayer that Fr. John Corpai suggests that we pray in emergencies, in times of need. It’s (9) Memorares (1) Rosary (1) Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
She said that she started praying it with my Rosary Beads. Right there, in my house, she just felt the need. And the more she prayed, the stronger a smell of Roses overcame her. She told me that she was freaking out and stopped praying.
Now, she’s never been around Catholics, she knows nothing about the Faith…
Needless to say, we loaded up and she stepped foot for the first time in a Catholic Church today. She was overwhelmed by the feeling inside the church, I could tell she was breathing very hard while we were there, we went over and prayed to the Blessed Mother, lit candles, etc.
It was awesome!
Please pray for Amanda and all her needs. Protection for her family (she has two little boys, she is a single mother) and yes, pray for her conversion…I think our Blessed Mother wants her to come to her Son and His Church.
Thank you! And God bless you all!
