Wow - when you guys say you are going to pray for someone, you really mean it.
The spirit is moving and I felt the full weight of that last night when I got home. Praise Him!
For those who have not read my other posts I am married to a divorcee who has always been dead set against applying for an annulment, and have been living outside of the church, not getting my daughter baptised and missing the Eucharist.
Well…
Last night when I got home from work, we were sitting at the dinner table as a family discussing our day, and my wonderful 6 year old daughter was telling us about what she had been learning (different churches). Out of the blue, my amazing girl says “Daddy, Mummy, I think I should be baptised. Not in mummys Jewish church because we never go, but in Daddy’s church.” WOW. Out of the mouths of babes.
Now I had an agreement with my wife that if my daughter asked I would answer, so I told her we would go and speak to the parish priest.
It doesn’t stop there however!
After we had put the daughter to bed, my wife and I sat chatting about it, and she was really cool with it, but then she shocked me by saying “Well if ****” (our daughter) “wants to be baptised, I suppose you will be going to church more often. In which case when you speak to the priest why don’t you talk to him about that annulment thing…”
I was well and truely flabbergasted!
Praise You Lord!
My thanks for all your prayers in the last few days. I just can’t believe how quickly this has all happened. From me making active steps to return to the church and all my worry in the last week about approaching my wife on the subject again, to this. It has to be the Holy Spirit moving.
I am so happy. Thank you for all your prayers everyone.
