Greetings TrueLight,

I do like your religion status. It is most fitting.

God Bless.

Thank you so much Constantine!

And err… we need to talk about your “religion”. 😛
Sure, if you can talk to these people who belong to the same religion as yours… 😉

But kidding aside, this is great and all your hard work, perseverance, and patience has finally paid off. I really don’t know how getting baptized and confirmed feels like because I had them as a baby. But I guess my canonical transfer would come close 😉

Congrats ! I missed this thread somehow until now.

So, is your confirmation going to be at the EF as well ?

Thank you!

It will definitely be in the EF. I was told that if there are at least a few people who request a traditional confirmation in April, it is possible that a bishop will do do it in the old rite at the local parish.

If that is not possible, I will do it at the FSSP.

There was a time, it read “pre-Catholic on Fire.”

It still doesn’t feel real. Yesterday I received communion for the second time at the local parish and I was in awe that I actually got to go up to the communion rails instead of making a spiritual communion like I have been doing. 🙂

But I don’t think I open my mouth wide enough because the priest’s hand touched my tongue. 😦

Good deal 👍

Greetings TrueLight,

There are many times that partaking Communion for me is so surreal, in a good way. Each Communion is never the same and each is a unique experience, a unique opportunity for growing deeper in Union with Jesus. I cannot imagine a Mass that I would not take Communion, it is a good blessing to be able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation when needed.

It will take some time in getting used to opening one’s mouth big enough without looking like one is swallowing flies. It took me some time, but I got it down. Are you sticking your tongue out a little further? [That does sound wierd in asking though.] It’s about also sticking the tongue out at a proper length from the opening of the mouth. If it is out a bit more, the priest has no problem depositing the Sacred Host on your tongue, just make sure and not drop it.

It will get easier with practice.

I remember when the religious status read that. I liked it as well.

God Bless.
