Pax Christi:
I just came back from Sunday Mass a very happy chap.
Yesterday evening, I was worried about sins from a few months ago - I struggle with scrupulosity and the mere thought of mortal sin completely pushes me over the edge.
This morning I was in a similar mood - but I went to Mass and suddenly I felt how joyous it is to be Christian - to be Catholic - as we were singing ‘Alleluia, Sing to Jesus’, I felt as though my scrupulous fears were going away with the beautiful sound of the organ.
I now feel much better - I acknowledge that my scrupulosity was clouding my view and that I am in a state of grace - I am also filled with joy at the prospect of attending Daily Mass - which I might try and get into.
I am blessed with how God has made me see the truth - scrupulosity is hard but God always gives you ways to cope - even when it’s very hard.
God Bless you All.
