Lord Father of Love and Mercy, hear our prayers.
 
Heavenly Father, look in compassion on all these people whose lives are affected and perhaps even ruined in some ways by these disasters. Help them to rise again in hope and trust, from hopelessness and discouragement. Let them never feel abandoned by You, nor let them abandon You.

You know each person affected. Please give them help, strength, comfort, and good fortune for their futures. Be merciful to all suffering from natural disasters, in Jesus’ name.
 
I am praying for all who have been affected by this and I will keep them in my prayers.

Let’s pray for all those in Cedar Rapids and DesMoines as well who have lost so much already. I just read that St. Barbara and St. Scholastica are patrons of those who are weathering thunderstorms and major weather calamities. Let’s pray for their intervention as well.:gopray2:
