I would like to ask you, my brothers and sisters for your prayers.

I have spoken out against our mother, Mary and hurt her feelings. I have said a Rosary and ‘made up’ with her, but I still feel guilty about hurting her feelings, and can only imagine if, even though she has forgiven me of the faults I have done against her and her Son has forgiven me of my sins, that she still feels in her heart some sadness at my rebuke and rashness.

Sorry if it sounds a little weird, but I’m sure we all get angry at our mothers as well as our fathers from time to time. I didn’t think it would have such a lasting effect on my guilt, though. I love her, or rather, want to love her, and I just feel out of bounds at the moment.

I especially ask you, mothers of the world, would you forgive your son if he spoke out against you?

Yes…a Mother’s love is unconditional and always ready to forgive!
Children often say things they do not mean out of anger or frustration!

***I am sure She knows your remorse and desire to know and love her more deeply.
Accept Her love and forgiveness, and forgive yourself…then spend time with Her daily in reading reflections on her and praying the Rosary.
She will draw you closer to Her Immaculate Heart and Her Son’s Sacred Heart.

Your intentions will be in my prayers.***

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Absolutely. I forgive my sons before they even ask. I understand immediately. I only my sons well, want everything to be good and happy for them. I have three, each quite different, and I love each so very much.

Mother Mary could only be more loving and more forgiving than that.
Mother Mary please heal my brother who is so grieved for having offended You. Jesus please forgive your brother for speaking harshly to Mother.

I thank you both for your kind words and efforts. I guess I’m waiting for the time when I can feel her smile when I look upon her. I am ashamed to look at her. Yes, it may be minor, but it does not still the grief in my heart over my love for her and my harsh words. How can I love someone I have wronged?

I feel her sorrow on me. It is a cold comfort to know that she is there. I think that, at least for the moment, she is giving me a ‘time out’ to think about what I did.

Of course you can’t see her smile you silly thing! You said you don’t dare look up!

And who of us has never wronged or hurt those we love? It doesn’t mean we don’t love them just that we’re not coping with something, everything. Do you think you Mother doesn’t understand the pain and disappointment that made you yell at her?

true, but I said, ‘feel’, not see. 😉

I suppose you’re right on the other thing though, I’m confident it will be all right in time, I just need to be patient and diligent.

Remember, O gracious
Virgin Mary, that never was
it known that anyone who
fled to thy protection, implored thy
help or sought thy intercession was
left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly to thee,
O Virgin of Virgins and
my Mother; to thee I
come, before thee I kneel,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions, but
in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

your post only shows what a devout son you really are.

confession will help though.

keeping you in my prayers.

God bless you!
