Lord, I ask You to intervene on behalf of all affected
by the shootings in El Paso.
Lord hear our prayers:
for the dead,
that they will join in Your eternal kingdom.
for the injured,
that they will be returned to complete health
in body, mind, and spirit.
for families and friends of the dead and the injured,
that they will find comfort in Your love.
for all emergency workers, police, security guards,
hospital workers, and volunteers,
that they will be strengthened.
for all those traumatized by this event,
that they will find peace.
for those who wish to kill others,
that they are stopped before they turn to violence.
Most of all, Lord, I pray for the news media.
that they realize that their lurid coverage inspires
copycat attacks. Help them think about ethics,
not ratings.
Help our nation in this time of violence. Shelter
us with your angels. May we work to bring Your
Gospel to all. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Can y’all please pray for the victims, families and all affected by the shooting in the Oregon District of Dayton? I have been there many times with my husband and friends, and we have a number of friends who regularly hang out there and/or live or have lived on the surrounding residential streets. One of our friends had just left the vicinity of the shooting 5 minutes before it happened.
Dayton is already recovering from the effects of the destructive tornado a couple months ago. They are having a really tough year. Prayers appreciated. Thank you.

Mass shootings in Gilroy, California, Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas. Dozens have died in such a short period of time.
These acts sickens me, and I give my deepest condolences to their families.
Let us pray for them.
2 of these acts were born out of hatred, targeting immigrants.
Let us pray for an end to such needless and violent spite in our nation.
