In 2017, seven park rangers died in armed combat
in Virunga National Park in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo. They protect the park
from armed militants and eco-criminals.

Prayer for Fallen Park Rangers

Dear Lord Jesus and Mary, Mother of God,
Hold all these brave souls in the palm of your hand, comfort
them and their families. Send angels of protection, love, and
comfort to all the rangers who are locked in a never-ending war
to preserve endangered animals. Comfort their families. And
change the hearts those who continue to plunder wildlife. We
ask our prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen.
