We’ve all heard the news, and we’ve seen how badly things are going. No matter what side you’re on, we can all agree that violence and chaos is no answer, and only plants the seeds for more hatred, intolerance, and sin. And so let us pray:

Dear Lord,

We pray for the resolution of the conflict
in the community of Ferguson, Missouri
Where there is violence, let there be peace,
where there is despair, let there be hope,
where there is grief, let your comforting hand be felt
where there is bitterness, let your compassion reign,
where there is hatred, let your love shine through
for we believe all shall be known
and justice shall be served
in Your Heavenly kingdom

Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace, Saint Francis Prayer:

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life. Amen. :signofcross:

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Please heal the painful wounds and divisions of this troubled community, and protect all from bodily and spiritual harm. Whatever the ultimate truth of every aspect of this situation is, only You know completely and will reveal according to Your Holy Will and in Your good time. Help us to be patient, forgiving, and slow to anger and blame; if injustice has been done, help us to deal with it constructively as peacemakers. Out of the ashes of tragedy, with your Divine Grace, please bring forth reconciliation and peace, and hope for a better future of cooperation and harmony between all persons. The Enemy would love to use this as an opportunity to further division throughout our entire society. May he not succeed. May You have the victory in this as You had the victory on the Cross over sin and Satan. May the culture of death give way in all aspects to the Gospel of Life. Thy Will Be Done. Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for Us!

Praying with you for peace in Ferguson.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Prayer for Racial Harmony

The Grand Jury has rendered its decision.
God and Father of all, in your love
you made all the nations of the world
to be a family, and your Son taught
us to love one another.
Yet our world is riven apart
with prejudice, arrogance, and pride.
Help the different races
to love and understand one another better.
Increase among us sympathy,
tolerance, and goodwill,
that we may learn to appreciate the gifts
that other races bring to us,
and to see in all people
our brothers and sisters for whom Christ died.
Save us from jealousy, hatred, rioting, and fear,
and help us to live together
as members of one family at home in the world,
sons and daughters of one Father
who live in the liberty of the children of God;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, send forth Your Holy Spirit into our hearts that we may perceive,
into our minds, that we may remember, and into our souls that we may
meditate. Inspire us to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy.
Teach, guide and direct our thoughts and senses from beginning to end.
May Your grace ever help and correct us, and may we be strengthened
now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of Your infinite mercy.
Amen

**O God,
who from among all your angels
chose the Archangel Gabriel
to announce the mystery of the Incarnation,
mercifully grant that we
who solemnly remember him on earth
may feel the benefit of his patronage in heaven,
who lives and reigns for ever and ever.

Amen. **
