Dear friends in Christ:

Jane is 95 years old. She’s having a hip replacement on
Tuesday May 29. Her doctor has warned her of having
surgery at her age. But she thinks being mobile is worth
the risk. She’s a good Christian lady. She’s lived a life
of service to the Church and to others.

A Prayer Before Surgery

O Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord, grant Jane joyful
acceptance of the surgery that awaits her. Let her hip
replacement return her to mobility and relieve her pain.
Make the skilled the work of the surgical team members;
for it is unto their knowledge and skill that she will give
herself for healing. I pray You, O Lord, that this procedure
will be without complication, and that her recovery will
be speedy and complete. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

I’m praying for Jane. May God make the surgery go smoothly and may He make her able to move around again.
 
Praying that Jane’s upcoming surgery would be successful and that she would be able to move freely again. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Loving Father, we entrust Jane to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill, the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name. Grant her a successful hip surgery that Jane may be restored to soundness of health and to live in more perfect harmony with your Word. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Jane’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
