Please keep me in your prayers. I have applied for a job w/ the local VA office. It is a long shot as I am not qualified, but I am confident that I can be trained for the job. I am bored w/ my current job and frustrated w/ the changes taking place. We live in a small town where there are not a lot of opportunities to make good money (w/ or w/out a degree). DH and I are very fortunate to make what we make for our age (late 20s) for a family of 4. I would simply like to provide more for our family (i.e. benefits AND better pay), but in addition to this, I would like to challenge myself more and learn something new. I’m afraid that if I don’t do it this side of 30, I will get set in my ways/comfortable w/ the status quo (which is tight in the early years of marriage w/ 2 working parents and 2 small children).

God, our Father, I turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment.
I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment.
Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

I definately have prayed for you to get this job.

I know how you feel. It took me 9 months of prayer and interviews to find a job in February, and it was all through Divine Intervention on behalf of Our Lady of Lourdes and a dear friend who passed on.

I will be going to another job interview today for a position with the Jesuit presses here in Chicago. Please keep me in your prayers as well.
 
Praying very hard to St. Joseph for your success! I admire your wanting to challenge yourself. That is a great quality. Good luck!
 
JLCecilia I will be praying that you get a job.

I will also be praying that Turbo VW gets that job with the Jesuit community.
