Almighty God, please be with Joy as she waits for further results regarding this cancer. We hope it hasn’t spread, dear God, but we thank You for the gift of those whose research, and those whose surgery and care give Joy hope for recovery. Please help Joy to be at peace, and to find You in company with her in her illness.

Blessed Zelie Martin, mother of St Therese, you didn’t have such blessings and had to suffer alone with your breast cancer. Please kindly pray for Joy,
and others who have this illness.

Dear friends , on a visit to my doctor’s surgery today , I found dear Joy at her desk in reception .Despite having had her first chemotherapy treatment.she appeared well and cheerful .She asked me to thank you all for your loving and caring prayers , She thinks that the knowledge of God’s Love in your prayers is lifting her spirits She has yet to have a further 5 chemotherapy treatments over the next 15 weeks , before surgery but she is trying to work as long as she is able .I pray that Our Heavenly Father will pour His Healing Grace upon Joy in her fight against this dread disease and I hope I may ask you to kindly continue your prayers for her .

O Good Saint Anne,
so justly called the Mother of the infirm,
the health of those who suffer from disease,
look kindly upon the sick person for whom I pray.

Alleviate their sufferings,
cause them to sanctify them by patience,
and by complete submission to divine will.
Finally deign to obtain health for them
and with it the firm resolution to honour Jesus, Mary and yourself
by the faithful performance of their Christian duties.
