Dear friends , over the last 18 weeks , Joy has been receiving chemotherapy in an attempt to reduce the size of the tumour in her breast . Sadly that has produced no significant result . She phoned me earlier today to tell me that she is to attend a preoperative assessment tomorrow, Tuesday , prior to an operation for mastectomy a week on Wednesday , 3rd of February .She is now experiencing a lot of pain and I would ask you dear friends , to offer up your prayers for Our Heavenly Father to ease her pain and suffering and to help the surgeons and nurses to use all their skill , knowledge, care and dedication in what for all women is an horrific operation .Joy is immeasurably grateful for all your prayers and has asked me to convey her gratitude . I am sure however , that like me , you will continue to pray for her , and I will update you with her progress as soon as I am able .
